Do I need to soften my wash water?

Here's a simple test that helps determine whether you have hard water....

Put 2 cups of warm water in a jar, add 1 teaspoon of Soap Flakes and shake hard. If you get lots of suds that last for several minutes, you do NOT need to add a water softening product to your wash water.
